Sales Account Manager - Transit Products - Blairsville PA

Penn Machine Company LLC, a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway Company, is a leading manufacturer of transit rail products and services for the passenger rail industry. We have an immediate need for a full-time Sales Account Manager for our Transit headquarters in Blairsville, PA.

Position responsibilities include:

Aftermarket Bid Management
- Utilize 80/20 principles in bid process
- Contract review
- Quote Development and Bid Submittal
- Manage organization to support development of compliant technical offer
- Large Bid Kick-Off Meetings (Presentation Development)
- Risk Assessment
- Manage Organizational contract reviews
- Support negotiations at contract signing
Interface with Program Management, Engineering, and Operations at PMC
Strengthen existing relationships at all customer points
Grow customer contact base
Travel on a regular basis (including international, if needed) – 50%
Meet and exceed (agreed upon) individual sales goals
Support growth initiative sales goals
Manage new product development
Program Management Oversight
Maximize profit margins
Ensure handoff to program management of new bids

Qualifications for this position include:

Bachelor’s degree, Engineering or Business, obtained through an accredited institution or equivalent experience in the transit or railroad industries, preferred
5+ years experience in sales, marketing, and customer interface management
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Proficient use of Excel and Microsoft Office software
Extensive knowledge of contracts with respect to the railroad and transit industry and equipment
Proven management, planning and organizational skills, for multi-bid and project direction
Must be goal oriented and enjoy success
Valid driver’s license.
