PENN MACHINE CO. NAMES JOHN SANTARLAS GENERAL MANAGER

Blairsville, PA, September 8, 2017 – Penn Machine Co., a supplier of OEM and aftermarket wheels, wheelsets, trucks, axles, gears and gearboxes for transit, railroad and industrial/mining applications, has named John Santarlas as General Manager. Mr. Santarlas is responsible for coordinating operations of the company’s Rail Transit and Locomotive Gear Divisions to help ensure long-term growth. Before he was promoted to his current position, Mr. Santarlas led Penn Machine’s Locomotive Gear Division. Prior to joining Penn Machine, he held positions focused on strategic procurement and operational excellence with GE Transportation, Siemens and Kongsberg, mostly in his native Pennsylvania. Mr. Santarlas earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Gannon University.
